If you want a crispier crust, there are easy ways to achieve it. Cooking on the very bottom rack will create a crispier crust, as will adding at least 3 Tabl. of oil, which actually fries the bottom of the bread. You can also use a pizza stone, giving it at least 45 mins. to an hour to heat, and then cooking it at a high temperature. You don't need an expensive steel pain. In fact, the best pizza pan I have was one that I bought in the aisle of a supermarket. It's just aluminum with a nonstick coating. I've had it for about 15 years and it still works great and looks great, while those fancier, more expensive pizza pans I purchased sit unused, including the ones that are perforated. Those perforations never helped brown the bottom of my pizzas.

I love how considerate Irene is about the recipe, despite having misgivings (from a practical baking standpoint and a sanctity-of-the-BREAD standpoint). As somebody who loves savoury and not so much sweet, I’ve found myself a little mystified at the trend of adding cookie dough to everything but I totally think Irene should do a series testing these strange hybrid bakes! I always feel she goes at it so sweetly and I always learn something too!! ❤❤❤❤

It sounds like you're missing a factor that would tie the good of foccaccia and the good of chocolate chip cookie, so what about some kind of carmelized butter element, like a caramel drizzle throughout or toffee crumble on top or something... It's like it almost got there and then didn't quite reach good, just got to "not bad" Also, love your Dead Dad Kitchen segments, totally right about the blush placement it is fabulous, your hair was doing everything it could i loved it, and I love how you chat through these videos!
